Particular Passages:
Decked Halls
There is a special time of year.
A time when everyone celebrates.
There are many things celebrated: Life, love, family, selflessness, and more.
Come with us as we explore that time,
That time of fun, food, gifts, laughter, hope,
And Decked Halls.

Meet the Author
I’ve loved stories for as long as I can remember. In elementary school, I got in trouble (more than once) for reading The Hardy Boys and Choose Your Own Adventures during class. As a teenager, the first book that kept me up reading into the late hours of the night was Jurassic Park. I was raised by Trekkie parents with a deep love of science fiction and fantasy.
In college, I took a Science Fiction Literature class, the final for which I had to write a sci-fi short story. Afterwards, I decided to submit the story to Writers of the Future (my first submission anywhere). That story, The Edge of Paradise, earned an Honorable Mention, and I was hooked. I figured, if my first submission got an HM, then it shouldn’t be too hard to win, right? Wrong. almost twenty years later, I’ve garnered six Honorable Mentions and one Semi-Finalist. The struggle continues…
I am a strong proponent of the Oxford Comma.
I live in Utah with my wonderful wife and four incredible children. We love board games, video games, movies, and just spending time with family.
